David Deming a geophysicist and associate professor of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oklahoma, wrote a wonderful piece in the American Thinker – one of those neo-con, fascist, holocaust-denying, Globaloney-warming denying sites so frequented by friends of Bushitler – on the reality of climate. As Deming states, ice ages are the norm for Mother Earth. Co2 has no impact whatsoever on climate and UN 'models' can't even predict climate from previous decades – let alone model the last ice age. Why then the hysteria around something so ignorant and preposterous as 'Globaloney Warming' ? [Answer: Cultural Marxism, politics and money.]
Deming summarizes the reality of Mother Earth's penchant for rather cold climates:
“For ninety percent of the last million years, the normal state of the Earth's climate has been an ice age. Ice ages last about 100,000 years, and are punctuated by short periods of warm climate, or inter-glacials. The last ice age started about 114,000 years ago. It began instantaneously. For a hundred-thousand years, temperatures fell and sheets of ice a mile thick grew to envelop much of North America, Europe and Asia. The ice age ended nearly as abruptly as it began. Between about 12,000 and 10,000 years ago, the temperature in Greenland rose more than 50 °F.”
The last ice age only ended some 12.000 years ago – after thousands of years of rather immoderate warming. 50 F variations in temperature are extreme - but such wild swings have been normal throughout the planet's history. They are somewhat more than the 1.2C increase over 100 years, which according to the UN and the eco-baloney cult, will wipe out poor Mother Earth by 2100. The ridiculous idea forwarded by L. Ron Gore and his eco-fascists, that people driving SUV's, and Chinese factories emitting particulate pollution, are somehow impacting Mother Earth's temperature is a fantasy worthy of Islam and Scientology. As Deming and any other geologist worthy of the title would point out [sighing with the burdens of the obvious]:
“The climate of the ice ages is documented in the ice layers of Greenland and Antarctica. We have cored these layers, extracted them, and studied them in the laboratory. Not only were ice ages colder than today, but the climates were considerably more variable. Compared to the norm of the last million years, our climate is remarkably warm, stable and benign. During the last ice age in Greenland abrupt climatic swings of 30 °F were common. Since the ice age ended, variations of 3 °F are uncommon.”
Today we have little minds squawking about a 1.2 C change in temperature. From 1945 to 1975, with a world-wide economy growing at more than 5%, and with industrial post-war production reaching historic highs, the earth's temperature fell by some 1 C. Hence in the 1970s and 80s, the hysterical calls about Globaloney Cooling. Than the temperature for about 10 years gradually increased about 1 C or to the mean level for the past 100 years. Hence the hysterical calls about Globaloney Warming. Do not the exaggerated calls and predictions of the end of the world, not appear to be rather insane?
The models used by the politicians and their eco-fascist allies are of course a nonsense. They can't predict the climate of last year, let alone recreate the conditions for the last ice age. Yet we are to believe their infallibility for the year 2100, premised on the rather insane idea that a natural chemical – Co2 – necessary for life, is somehow causing massive fluctuations in climate from colder summers in South Africa, to warmer winters in continental Russia?
“The oscillation between ice ages and interglacial periods is the dominant feature of Earth's climate for the last million years. But the computer models that predict significant global warming from carbon dioxide cannot reproduce these temperature changes. This failure to reproduce the most significant aspect of terrestrial climate reveals an incomplete understanding of the climate system, if not a nearly complete ignorance.”
Deming is right. Computer models cannot possibly replicate something we don't understand. It is obvious that Humans don't understand all the variations within climate. And the models are pretty selective - they leave out for example one little factor – the Sun. The Sun is the most important variable in determining our climate. The models have no credibility when the Sun and other vital influencers of climate are left out. The models are made to generate what the politicians and eco-fascists want: conclusions that the Human Race, the virus, the disease that it is, is in the process of destroying dear old Mother Earth.
And here is a great paradox put forwarded by Deming. If the usual state of affairs is an Ice Age, by reducing our Co2 emissions the human might actually be precipitating the advent of another Ice Age – if you believe in the models and the logic of the L. Ron Gore-UN eco-hysteria cult:
“By reducing our production of carbon dioxide, we risk hastening the advent of the next ice age. Even more foolhardy and dangerous is the Obama administration's announcement that they may try to cool the planet through geoengineering. Such a move in the middle of a cooling trend could provoke the irreversible onset of an ice age. It is not hyperbole to state that such a climatic change would mean the end of human civilization as we know it.”
Ice Ages destroy any vestige of civilised organisation. Deming's assertion that the insanity of the eco-baloney cult might actually herald a new cooling climate is Shakespearean irony in its most delicious prose. Idiots leading the parade to destruction as it were.
In any event, Globaloney Warming and its cult of media-educational and mass-pop-psychology, has nothing whatsoever to do with the environment, or Mother Earth. It is about money, subsidies, tax payer guarantees and for politicians, the power to control and regulate the world. For international socialists it is the Trojan horse to a world government. For local and national power mongers it is a means to control wealth and industry. For those without faith it is a cult of superiority and posturing. For businesses it is a way to rip off the tax payer and gorge on government money.
Globaloney Warming – another hysterical, aberrant, human-hating scam. Until the next Ice Age becomes apparent. Than the little minds will be re-converted back to Globaloney Cooling screaming, 'I told you so.'
