For true-believers, those who actually hate the human-race and wish that the goddess Gaia would eradicate all mankind, a dialogue is impossible. It is akin to debating with marxists or their extreme ideological brethren, the fascists. Eco-cult members, like the chattering marxists subscribe to a fantasy view of the world – one in which events, movements, and cause and effect, all move in a dialectical, or known pattern. Any variance outside of their chosen and quite arbitrary 'pattern' is deemed evil. So it goes with climate.
This secular-marxist view of time, history, and climate is patently absurd and hard to fathom. Anyone wishing to look up climate records will see wide, massive variations in temperature throughout history. 12.500 years ago the ice age, one which had lasted thousands of years, was receding and the earth's temperature in a very short time, shot up 6C – far in excess of the 0.4 decline we have witnessed in the past century [temps outside of urban areas have actually gone down, not up]. It is hard to ascribe this and other such changes to human manufacturing or some dialetical process. How then do the Eco-Marxists explain the reality of wide temperature fluctuations?
They ignore them. Simplistic dialecticism is at the core of the new-age Eco-fascist or Eco-Marxist cult. For the new-agers, reared in the narcisstic environment of a world where 'me' replaces God, and where the Mother earth, replaces inner spirituality, all systems must move in a straightforward pattern. This bizarre world view imposes order where none exists, and enforces utopian modeling where chaos naturally reigns. The new Eco-cult is in other words, a Marxist spin-off from the new-age, anti-Christian, pro-earth paganism, so prevalent in wealthier parts of the guilty West.
Dialecticism is of course time-based. For the new-age Eco-Marxist time revolves around their miserably short human existence. In the new-age narcissim, the world begins around 1940 A.D. and every single minute betwixt then and now, is of monumental earth-shattering importance. This weird view of time is a the root of all dialectical theories.
Mapping out billions of years to conform to supposed patterns dating from 1940 A.D., is not scientific, rational, nor sane. Yet the new-agers demand that any slight variation in their strange modeling be of immediate consequence, and that the minute by minute emissions of their short, tragic lives, be the cause of profound angst and investigation.
Weirdness.
Time makes a mockery of human centric preoccupations. If we were to put earth's total time into one hour, the human's existence here is less than 2 minutes on a one hour clock. Time laughs at dialectical nonsense. Nothing is pre-determined, and there are no patterns in nature – just vicious cycles that can change, destroy, shape and re-shape. New-agers Pharaonic-styled obsession with controlling nature, is but a gasp of cultish fantasy, destined to be rubbished with other narcisstic creeds of immaturity.
Two Canadian writers, both scientists, put it well recently, when they expressed the absurdly ignorant view of time, held by most Eco-fascists:
“Uniformitarianism is the idea now underpinning western society’s view of the World. A basic tenet assumes change is gradual over long periods of time and any sudden or dramatic change is not natural. Employing a version of uniformitarianism adapted to their needs, environmental extremists can point to practically any change and say it is unnatural, which implies it is man-made. But we know from modern science that natural changes can indeed be quite sudden and extreme – Professor Tim Patterson of Carleton University, in Ottawa pointed out last year in the Financial Post that “Ten thousand years ago, while the world was coming out of the thousand-year-long “Younger Dryas” cold episode, temperatures rose as much as 6 degrees C in a decade—100 times faster than the past century’s 0.6 degrees C warming that has so upset environmentalists.” Happening as it did before the dawn of civilization, it was, of course, entirely natural.”
[Dr. Tim Ball & Tom Harris Wednesday, January 9, 2008, Globaloney Warming and time ]
Marxism takes many forms – national socialism, economic, political, and environmental. The core of the marxist-fascist cult is control and the ability to erect state agencies to enact control. Control over the basic forces of economics, the political process and the media are central preoccupations. Eco-marxism has done a commendable job in assaulting all of these. By using disinformation about time, and by layering on patterns where none exist, and declaring that all variations are proof of some imminent catastrophe, the Eco-marxist is happily treading along the same path as the economic and political marxist.
Marxism and its brethren ideology, fascism, always highlight 'disaster'. Hitlerism and national socialism, supposedly addressed the inherent flaws in decadent, seedy, bourgeois capitalism – a system it was said which caused the Germans to lose World War I and suffer a great depression. Soviet communism and Western marxism, likewise positioned themselves as saviors of society, erecting state owned institutions which would guide us from the inevitable collapse of capital markets, to the brave new world of communitarian utopia. These ideas are of course ridiculous.
So it goes with the Eco-marxist cult. Lies, distortions, dialectics, a bizarre view of time, and the conflating of pollution with man-made climate change [act now! if you want clean rivers, by destroying all industry!], makes this new assertion of Marxism particularly obnoxious. Like the Muslims, the eco-cult has managed to fashion a religion around an intolerant fascism.
This is not to say that those who love mother-earth are all a salivating band of smarmy AlGore lovers. Eco-cult members and the act now! crowd, preoccupied with the fantasy of globaloney warming, are composed largely of two groups. There is the fascist, intolerant extremist sect with hysterical pronouncements and demands, acting much like disaffected Muslims. This group has little in common with the somewhat more reasonable and mild-mannered, 'very concerned' caucus, which mixes up pollution, environmental protection with nonsensical ideas about human-created climate microwaves. At least with this second group, there is a marginal hope that rationality and science will convince them of the error of their ways.
The first group is of course beyond help. What both groups do share however, is the false idolation of Marxist-climate dialecticism. For some absurd reason, eco-fascists view climate and weather patterns as graduated, identifiable and logical. It is reductio ad absurdem and about as relevant as the Koran and just as threatening to civilisation's survival. We are alas, fighting a battle on many fronts.
