Only fat stupid lesbians need apply: Rosie O'Donnell another Liberal idiot
  by Craig Read

Why is there such a media fascination with uneducated, inarticulate, mentally unstable idiots parading their illnesses or sexual sickness as virtues, their stupidities as ‘insights’ and their crude, loutish behavior as ‘emancipation’? Al Gore? Michael Moore? Tim Robbins? Or the queen of pop-culture vulgarity, Rosie O’Donnell? The fatter, the dumber, the more extreme and apparently, the richer, more coveted and more famous you will be. It is sad commentary on current culture when a person as mentality deformed as O’Donnell rises to any height of influence. We are living in a twisted culture.

For all its accomplishments and higher purpose, Western culture is descending rapidly into the abyss of a mental dark age. Relativity, post-modernism, eco-fascism, the earth mother cult, reality-TV, Islamic appeasement, American Idol and airheads masquerading as caring populist politicians litter like festering piles of feces, our cultural landscape. Rosie O’Donnell as a person, a commentator, a professional or a TV icon is irrelevant. It is what she represents that is important: all consuming intolerance, narcissism to a degree only matched by the Clintons; repulsive ideas, dress, and habits; and of course a flagrant flaunting of a sad lifestyle and its attendant psycho-somatic illness as being normal. She is low culture trash, elevated to a high profile.

O’Donnell is famous for 2 things. First, she is an ugly lesbian actress which entails instant media and cultural acceptance including appearances in third rate films [is there any other genre of film made in Hollywood today?]. Second, she is an unfunny comedian who rails, rants and screams against any idea to the right of Karl Marx or Joseph Stalin. This assures her of broad sympathy, media accolades and roles in third rate TV shows [is there any other genre of TV being produced today?].

She is a university drop-out, uneducated in any of the philosophies she likes to whine and opine about and founder of a failed magazine called, ‘Rosie’. According to its investors, the magazine failed thanks to O’Donnell’s intolerance, lack of business acumen, and bad relationships with the people working on the magazine. The same lack of intelligence, character and good graces which got her kicked off of ABC’s extremely weird program ‘The View’ has been a common feature for her entire life. Her reward? Vast riches.

O’Donnell’s career of bad comedy, worse movies, and moronic TV has transformed itself into even dumber opinions on politics and policy. Uneducated, without depth of reading, research, or the ability to logically understand how history, economics, finance and political processes are developed, unfold or interact, she opines on concepts on which she has no understanding or skill.

Opinions without fact, reality or intelligence are meaningless. Opinions are not equal. Opinions in the hand of uninformed demagogues are dangerous. Fascist, totalitarian movements have historically emanated from ignorant demagogues and elitist ‘thinkers’. The same intolerance and anti-reality program informs people such as O’Donnell.

Opinions in the absence of reality are extraordinarily dangerous. Hitlerism sprang from a 40 year zeitgeist of ideas related to will-to-power, destruction of decadent liberal bourgeoisie, a need for strong leaders, and the necessity of establishing unyielding societal order to accomplish national glory [win the next war; lebensraum, worker’s paradise etc.]. Hitler and Lenin were both misinformed but extremely agile and accomplished framers of opinion. They were of course accepted and mainstreamed by their contemporary culture. There is no evidence that Hitler or Lenin did not have the support of a vast majority of their population.

So it goes with wild, out of control, and dangerous liberalism. It is okay to have differing views. Many conservatives don’t support Bush, expansionary ‘compassionate’ government, or even the war in Iraq. People like myself probably would not vote for big government Bush or the GOP, if the Democrats could offer an intelligent alternative, which both Hillary Clinton and Obama fail to do. But it is the extreme liberal-socialism of deformed people like O’Donnell or Gore, or Robbins, or Baldwin and others, which poses a real cultural and political threat to the US.

Culture is king. Having different ideas is healthy. But not when the ideas are in the hands of extremists like O’Donnell who are given multiple platforms by a compliant media to inarticulately scream-out some deranged policy point. Mainstreaming this woman’s ideas, or the offerings from people like Cindy Sheehan [an anti-war activist for 40 years, now using her son’s death to attack the military], Baldwin, George Soros and others is cultural suicide.

Warren Kinsella wrote a wonderful piece in the National Post recently on why American Idol is the nadir of culture. Mindless nonsense, moronic stupidity. Kinsella’s comments, caustic and true as they are, could extend to any number of media venues, including the abysmal debris emanating from the black holes of people like O’Donnell, ‘It [pop culture] is a commodity: base, venal and without a soul. Carefully contrived by Hollywood (or some related industry) to be hawked to the largest number of consumers, popular culture is all about maximizing profits, not expanding refinement. It does not aspire to be art.’

How true. Pop culture is indeed the lowest common denominator. The dumber the better. At one time dull people suffering from mental ailments were kept to the sidelines. Seen but rarely heard. Now they are mainstream. These malformed and uninformed recipients of civilization’s largesse are able to shout out baseless opinions and hate-filled rhetoric against civilization, capital markets, whites, Jews, defending ourselves against Islam or illegal immigration, all the while cowering behind some label to avoid criticism [don’t criticize me I am [insert here]; gay, fat, a minority, a victim, etc.].

This is how cultures and civilization’s die. Rosie O’Donnell is not interesting, unique or compelling. She is just a large, obnoxious, fatuous pop-culture icon, who got rich on being stupid, all the while showing us the vapidity of society’s lowest common denominator. Sad.

Dumb O’Donnell comments from www.frontpagemag.com

In a May 2005 interview with Geraldo Rivera, O'Donnell charged that since President Bush had "invaded a sovereign nation in defiance of the UN, he is basically a war criminal.” “Honestly,” she said. “He should be tried at The Hague." She also used the occasion to defend Jane Fonda’s decision to visit North Vietnam in 1972.

On September 13. 2006, O’Donnell said that “radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America." Condemning the U.S. military response to 9/11, she added: "We were attacked not by a nation. And as a result of the attack and the killing of nearly 3,000 innocent people we invaded two countries and killed innocent people in their countries."

In October 2006 O’Donnell equated the tactics of South Africa’s former apartheid government with those of the Bush administration: "The blacks in South Africa, who were trying to fight for their own civil rights, were called terrorists and the government was allowed to arrest them at will and interrogate them ... just on the suspicion. Very similar today to what we have in the United States, thanks to the Patriot Act."

The following month, O’Donnell likened the atmosphere in post-9/11 America to that of the "McCarthy era," charging that people were now being "blacklisted" and labeled "unpatriotic" for dissenting from Bush administration policies. She also advised Americans, “Don’t fear the terrorists. They’re mothers and fathers.”

In mid-March 2007, after it was reported that Khalid Shaikh Mohammed had confessed to his role in 9/11 and many other terrorist plots, O’Donnell expressed doubt about the veracity of his admissions. "I think the man has been in custody of the American government," she said, "in secret CIA torture prisons in Guantanamo Bay, where torture is accepted and allowed, and he finally is the guy who admits to doing everything.”

Later that month, after an Iranian ship had illegally seized and detained a group of British sailors in Iraqi waters, O’Donnell opined that Iran was the victim of a British-U.S. conspiracy to instigate a war.

Also in March 2007, O’Donnell suggested that the American government was hiding the truth about its own role in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

In April 2007, after the Supreme Court ruled that a congressional ban on partial-birth abortion was constitutional, O’Donnell called the decision "frightening," adding that "it’s as if the women’s movement never happened." "You know what concerns me?” she continued. “How many Supreme Court judges are Catholics. ... Five. How about separation of church and state in America?"

O'Donnell has her own Internet blog, where she writes mainly on the social and political topics that interest her. Her postings are generally brief, random musings written without punctuation or attention to grammatical rules.

O'Donnell has made numerous campaign contributions to political candidates over the years. Among the beneficiaries of her largesse have been John Kerry, Corrine Brown, Lane Evans, Charles Schumer, Hillary Clinton, Carolyn McCarthy, Erin Gruwell, and the group EMILY's List. All the individual recipients were Democrats except one: in June 1999 O’Donnell contributed $1,000 to Republican Elizabeth Dole.
