Science is skepticism, doubt, experimental methods and proving hypotheses. It is not a poll, popularity or celebrity contest. Einstein was out-voted by Max Planck and 100 other German scientists in 1914 who supported German race-based theory and supremacism as being ‘scientific’ presaging Nazi ‘science’. Newtonian physics was roundly criticized in the 17th century and Newton’s theory of gravity is still debated and ‘denied’ by ‘experts’. Darwin’s bio-science was and still is pillaged with today’s ‘intelligent design’ the latest attempt at displacing evolutioin. Geo-centricity was defended and ‘proved’ by Aristotle; Ptolemy, Tyco Brahe and other ‘rational’ scientists until Copernicus and Galileo replaced it with the heliocentric theory. It was other scientists that refused to look through Galileo’s telescope at the heavens.
And on it goes throughout the history of real science. The Webster dictionary defines the scientific method as the: ‘principles and procedures for the systematic pursuit of knowledge involving the recognition and formulation of a problem, the collection of data through observation and experiment, and the formulation and testing of hypotheses.’
Such principles of testing and observation were first formulated by ancient Greek experimenters and enhanced by Bacon, Galileo, Newton, and the rationalists of the Enlightenment. But apparently eco-cults don’t need to follow scientific rigor to publish unscientific trash. It is a popularity contest paid with tax payer money, premised on the unscientific rigor of who can scream the loudest, and on the incontestable unscientific veracity of politicians and tax payer funded ‘experts’.
So much for the theory that public education will make society collectively more intelligent.
There are so many problems with the eco-fascist scam that books have and will be written on one of mankinds greatest ever money grabs. Yet we can make some simple observations about how the eco-cult scam contravenes basic scientific principles. Just one of these objections would get a theoretical paper on the inference of the linkage between Co2 and climate tossed out of any middling and half serious university science course.
First the hypothesis, or in this case the inference, that Co2 causes the temperature to change has to be proven with experimentation. No experiments have been done to support this claim, and no linkages have been proven. From 1945 to 1975 Co2 emissions rose at the fastest rate in the past 100 years, yet the average mean temperature dropped slightly. From 1998 until today the same has occurred in many parts of the globe. No hypothesis has been extensively proven to support the inference that Co2 emissions correlate with temperature fluctuations. An inference is not science, it is just a claim. Saying that Co2 causes warming temperatures is about as valid as saying that the increase in the cow population is correlated with hotter summers.
Second most Co2 emissions come from that natural biomass. Only 4 % or less comes from human activity. Natural biomass emissions of Co2 should therefore correlate directly with weather and climate patterns. They of course don’t. If you wiped out mankind fully 96% of Co2 emissions would remain. How then is human activity linked to a slight rise in temperature?
One thousand years ago the amount of Co2 particulate in the atmosphere was less than today, yet the temperature was far higher. 3300 years ago the Hittite civilization collapsed in 30 years thanks to global warming and increased temperatures which caused drought and famines and forced human migrations on an unprecedented scale. Co2 ? It is doubtful that the Hittites were spewing emissions from their chariots, or their textile or pottery industries.
Third there is no consensus in science. The only consensus is what is real and what is right. Einstein responded to a Nazi declaration signed by 200 Nazi scientists who pledged that all of Einstein’s theories were wrong [he was after all just a Jew], by stating that it only takes one Nazi scientist to disprove his experimental hypothesis – not 200. The fiction that science is a popularity vote would rule out such bothersome discoveries that fire, water, air and earth are the not the fundamental building blocks of nature [a theory held by Greeks circa 800 BC]; that the earth is not spherical; that slavery cannot be replaced by technology; or that higher mathematics which is the basis of science is not worthwhile [since the Gods or Mother Earth determine fate].
Lots of evidence exists that in the $20 billion per annum publicly funded Global Warming hysteria market, real scientists are denied both funding and the opportunity to test theories and speak out. A former UN IPCC [climate change panel] and ‘denier’ is Prof. Lindzen who unfortunately is a genuine climate change expert and scientist. Lindzen documents the dozens of scientists who have been fired, denied posts, or whose research has been rejected because they challenge the eco-cult’s obsessive view that global warming is man-induced, and not a result of natural climate patterns. This is eco-totalitarianism abetted by politicians and the media in the hopes of silencing debate so that big government can transfer, tax, regulate and inflict control on unsuspecting citizens.
Dr. Tim Ball, another ‘denier’ who is a former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg and is now the chairman of the Natural Resources Stewardship Project, refers to the lack of scientific rigor around the eco-cult Global Warming scam as being one of general ignorance which is played upon by politicians and fanatics:
‘…most people don't understand the scientific method which Thomas Kuhn so skillfully and briefly set out in his book ‘The Structure of Scientific Revolutions.’ A scientist makes certain assumptions and then produces a theory which is only as valid as the assumptions. The theory of Global Warming assumes that CO2 is an atmospheric greenhouse gas and as it increases temperatures rise. It was then theorized that since humans were producing more CO2 than before, the temperature would inevitably rise. The theory was accepted before testing had started, and effectively became a law.’
And therein lies the problem. As Ball states without any experimental proof the political agenda of Kyoto, Global Warming and eco-devastation has been confirmed. Students are brainwashed with eco-gloom and doom texts. Media are saturated with declining polar bear numbers or massive coastal flooding. What was once the usual and yearly litany of famines; millions of dead; loss of most of the earth’s species; eradication of mineral deposits; and the rape of this or that is trotted out now on a daily basis as ‘facts’. The ‘fact’ is that for 40 years we have heard the same rhetoric, with the same demands to do ‘something now!’ and yet miraculously Mother Earth is still breathing and yes we still have oil, zinc, lots of food, and no Manhattan is not under 10 feet of water.
The acceptance of unscientific data, lies about ‘consensus’, all publicly funded and administered by a self-interested elite denotes a cult – a belief in an idea no matter how bizarre – rather than scientific induction or deduction. Global warming is just another earth-goddess cult that which has been a communal and organizing principal in mankinds spiritual development for millennia. It is about as scientific a theory as Islam.
