Welcome to Eco-fascist fantasy-land. The Eco Fascist-Mother Earth-One World! One World!-cult is part marxist, part socialist; part internationalist and wholly insane. 'Cap and Trade' is an example of the social and political insanity which resonates with the eco-baloney crowd. Capping a natural chemical – Co2 – and than allowing it to be 'traded', in order to 'save' Gaia, is only something that a twisted Orwellian could devise. What next ? Cap and Trade on oxygen ? How about Cap and Trade on breathing ? Or maybe 'trading and capping' walking and driving ?
Globaloney Warming is the largest financial scam in history. Of course politics, subsidies, money and power drive the eco-cult madness. It is the most irrational cult aberration since modern Islamic fascism, or the 1970s Globaloney Cooling craze. And like a virus it mutates. The Globaloney eco-cult has mutated quite seamlessly into 'climate change' – as if 4 seasons is not a natural occurrence; or the fact that most of the earth's history has been besotted by ice ages. Co2 has nothing to do with climate. It is a derivative of the million odd factors which make up a local climate. It is not a factor input.
The parasites who deign to control mankind and dispose of production, wealth, economic output and regulate all matters of consumption, will stop at nothing to achieve their goals of economic socialism, cultural marxism, and international 'solidarity' under the hegemony of a world government. Propaganda, lies, and distortions are stock in trade. Other universalist socialist movements – the Nazis, Islam, Russian imperialism – all engaged or still engage, in reality destruction. You can't create a fantasy-world unless you destroy the modern world and all vestiges of rationality.
As part of the eco-fascist master plan of production and economic control 'Cap and Trade' is central. The Europeans already have it – and it is a monumental failure. The Americans will adopt some form of it – and it will be a monumental failure. The idea is regulatory, socialist madness. Governments will tell industries and firms how much Co2 they are allotted. Firms can use that 'quota' and if they wish to go beyond it, they can purchase intra-industry credits by those under their 'quota'. Government will establish both the quotas and the original per tonne carbon pricing.
They are so many things wrong with the idea that one has to wonder if its supporters are remotely sentient and alive. The main idea behind Cap and Trade – or as it should be called – Crap and Tricks – is to reduce by some 80% ! the use of energy in industry by 2050. This is impossible. It will result in economic devastation, wealth destruction and horror of horrors to mumbling eco-fascists – more environmental damage, since poorer countries do not have the money or technology to protect their eco-assets.
Some other obvious problems would be:
1. What market ?: Governments are artificially going to create a 'carbon' market - interesting. What is the supply and demand interaction ? How will pricing be determined ? How will pricing be allowed to change ?
2. Changing rules?: Governments are going to artificially create an industry quota for carbon usage – interesting. What is the methodology by industry, by company to do this ? Will it be made public ? How will it be changed or regulated in the future ? What negative impact will changing rules have on investment ? Do these enlightened politicians know ?
3. Wealth destruction: Energy usage is esential to create a modern economy. If you eliminate 80% of energy usage by forcing firms to use horse manure, wind 'power'; moonshine; water wheels; or tomato juice; you will very quickly take a normally functioning and efficient industrial and service economy and reduce it to shambles. How that helps people, mother earth, or the children's-children's-children's future, perhaps the eco-fascists can condescend to tell us.
4. Countries not involved?: The emerging nations have too much self-confidence and common sense to get involved in such a stupidity. China and Brazil account for about 1/3 or more, of Global Co2 emissions. What sense does it make to destroy North American industry if the rest of the emerging world is going to ignore – rightly so – such socialistic insanity ?
5. Protectionism: Eco-baloney regulations are typically used to distort trade and protect domestic industry and votes. They have little or nothing to do with public safety or flora/fauna protection. Cap and Trade would be yet another barrier to cross-border trade and investments. US governments could and probably will say for example, that Chinese firms who do not comply with US Carbon 'standards' will find their products either denied access to the US market, or highly taxed. This has been the norm with almost every single eco-regulation. They are simply non-tariff barriers.
But the real issue besides managing the world, and all industry, is of course taxes! Governments see Crap and Tricks as a vote-buying winner, one articulated against immoral big business and their Jewish-blonde haired, blue eyed friends. With public support Cap and Trade will be used to extort money from industry via regulatory fees, sur-taxes and excessive use of carbon taxes. Governments will declare that such monies will go into a 'Save the Mother Earth for our Children's, Children's, Children's' fund. But of course it will simply go into General Revenues to be lavished on buying votes and expanding the Mommy-state.
And of course the Crap and Trick attack on business will at some point, embrace the individual taxpayer under another name and program disguise. The idea will quickly mutate – as Globaloney Warming did into 'Climate Change' – into an array of taxes on the consumer side. The argument will be simple – if business is paying 'its fair share' why shouldn't consumers ? Cars, appliances, and life styles will all be subject to a 'carbon tax' to save poor little Mother Earth. Travel time, flights, car usage, and square footage of living space will all be, at some future point, subject to the same delirious 'Cap and Trade' protocol which will afflict business. It will just be called another nice name, and will have a different program detail, but it will be the same concept – control consumption.
All of the above will be supported by a delirious media, drunk in a Dionysian frenzy of Mother Earth love, moaning in collective drooling madness that Mother Earth and capping Carbon are the greatest single challenges ever faced by mankind. Schools and universities will incessantly pound into young minds, starting at age 4, that Mother Earth is the center of life and that industry, capital and individuality – not to mention the entire Western Civilisational enterprise – is immoral, evil, racist and bathetic in every sphere.
Huxley and Orwell were not extreme enough. What is coming to assault mankind is far worse than a 'Brave New World' or '1984'.
